Arbo-France is a French multidisciplinary and multi-institutional network for monitoring and research on human and animal arboviruses. Placed under the aegis of REACTing, it brings together researchers from different institutions members of Aviesan – French Alliance for Life and Health Sciences – and Santé Publique France.
Aviesan, created in 2009, was born out of the willingness to increase the performance of French research. The implementation of Aviesan’s objectives is carried out within 9 Thematic Institutes (ITMO), whose main role is to lead strategic thinking within their own scientific community.
Since 2014, the ITMO I3M – Immunology, Inflammation, Infectiology and Microbiology – has been coordinating the REACTing consortium, which aims to optimise research capacity during epidemics & improve research preparedness in between epidemics through multi-disciplinary collaboration.
