Arbo-France Scientific Awards – First Edition: Call for Applications
Arbo-France is launching the first edition of its Scientific Awards, with the support of Astelia, to recognize and promote the work of early-career researchers in the field of arboviruses.
Two awards of €1,500 will be presented:
Fabrice Simon Grand Prize
This prize recognizes research on human arboviruses, particularly in the areas of personal protection, prevention, management of acute disease, post-infectious syndromes, and their impact on international public health.
Ernest Gould Grand Prize
This prize recognizes research on arboviruses and their interactions with hosts and vectors, particularly in the fields of genomics and evolution, emergence, and arbovirus control.
Eligibility
The awards are open to early-career researchers of any nationality who obtained their PhD less than 10 years before the application deadline.
An essential part of the proposed work must have been carried out within a French research institution or structure.
Application
The application package must include:
- a one-page CV, summary and research highlights;
- a scientific description of the work, up to 4 pages, excluding references.
Applications are individual and must be submitted to contact@arbo-france.fr by:
10 December 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Paris time)
Applications will be reviewed in December 2026, and the awardees will be selected in January 2027.
The Arbo-France Scientific Awards ceremony will take place during the Arbo-France Conference, on 2–3 February 2027 at Institut Pasteur, Paris.
