PhD position – Eco-epidemiology of West Nile virus in Guadeloupe (2026–2029)
The Arbo-France network is sharing a PhD opportunity proposed by ANSES (Animal Health Laboratory, Maisons-Alfort), in partnership with CIRAD in Guadeloupe, focusing on the eco-epidemiology of West Nile virus (WNV) in wild bird populations.
This project aims to better understand the role of birds in virus circulation and the mechanisms underlying its cyclical re-emergence. It relies on an interdisciplinary approach combining ecology, epidemiology, entomology, and modeling, with fieldwork planned in Guadeloupe.
The position is open to candidates with a background in life sciences, public health, or modeling, with an interest in vector-borne diseases and interdisciplinary research.
